Burleigh House leads five Llandudno guest houses into Tripadvisor's best in the world

Llandudno has always prided itself on its hospitality, and Tripadvisor has confirmed it. Five independent B&Bs in the town were placed in the top 15 B&Bs in the UK in Tripadvisor's awards, and Burleigh House was ranked third in the UK and 11th in the world.

The five businesses, Burleigh House, Min Y Don, The Rosedene, The Cliffbury and Between The Bays, were invited to the Council Chamber on 17 September to celebrate. Llandudno Town Council said all five are in the top one per cent of accommodation businesses worldwide.

The mayor, Councillor Mandy Hawkins, presented each business with a Mayoral Certificate recognising their service, dedication and contribution to the town. "Llandudno's greatest asset has always been its people, and these awards are a testament to the passion and hard work of some of our finest local businesses," she said. "Their commitment to providing outstanding hospitality helps showcase Llandudno at its very best, and we are immensely proud to see them recognised on a global stage."

The deputy mayor, Councillor Angie O'Grady, and civic chairman, Councillor Greg Robbins, also attended.

At Burleigh House, guests are welcomed by hosts Steve and Julie at their four-star guest house. There are six en-suite rooms with large TVs, tea and coffee facilities, fluffy bath sheets and toiletries, and breakfasts, which the hosts proudly call the toast of the town, are cooked to order in-house, using local produce where possible, and served in the beautifully presented dining room. Burleigh House calls Llandudno the Queen of Welsh Resorts, a place that is easy to fall in love with, with its expansive bay and Victorian pier, and the hosts admit they fell for it themselves.
