For anyone hoping to buy handmade this Christmas, Wrexham has a date for the diary. The Wrexham Christmas Makers Market returns to Tŷ Pawb on Saturday 21 November, bringing together more than 30 stalls of locally made products.

The market was established in 2021 by local artist Rhi Moxon in collaboration with Tŷ Pawb, and it has grown into a popular fixture in Wrexham's festive calendar, drawing large crowds to the city centre venue in previous years.

Shoppers can expect ceramics, textiles, woodwork, homewares, jewellery, glass, printmaking and affordable artwork, all from artists, designers and makers from the area. Organisers hope the market will encourage people to shop independently in the run-up to Christmas, with plenty of alternatives to mass-produced presents.

As well as finding gifts, visitors can meet the people behind the products and learn more about how they work, which is part of the market's appeal. Organisers are encouraging people to come along, explore the stalls and support Wrexham's creative community, and the market is a chance to tick off a Christmas list while keeping money in the local economy.

Tŷ Pawb, on Market Street, combines arts, markets and community spaces under one roof. Its programme this autumn has included Anthony Shapland's solo exhibition MURMUR and Freely Chosen, an exhibition for Ffoto Cymru 2026 centred on Wrexham's playworkers, alongside a relaxed Tuesday Art Club for adults.

Alongside its galleries, Tŷ Pawb hosts comedy nights, art classes and workshops, food and drink stalls and its indoor market, and its spaces can be hired for events. The venue regularly hosts events celebrating local talent and independent businesses, and the makers market is one of several chances for residents to support smaller businesses during the festive season.

With Wrexham shortlisted as one of four finalists to become UK City of Culture 2029, events like this are a showcase for the creativity already thriving in the city.

The Wrexham Christmas Makers Market runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 21 November at Tŷ Pawb. Find out more at typawb.wales.
